Terms of Use

The licence

Budgie is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “EULA”). The EULA and Apple's Media Services Terms govern your use of the app. These terms add the details of Budgie Premium and the beta; where they differ from the EULA, the EULA applies.

Budgie Premium

Budgie is free to use. Budgie Premium is optional and is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.

AI features

AI receipt reading and AI auto-categorise need you to be signed in. Signed-in free users get five AI receipt reads a month; Premium raises that limit. To keep the service fair and affordable, there is a monthly cap on AI calls per account, and we may slow or pause AI requests from an account that looks automated or abusive. AI readings can be wrong: check amounts before you rely on them.

The beta

Beta versions of Budgie, delivered through Apple's TestFlight, are for testing. They may have bugs, change without notice, or stop working when the beta ends, and data entered in a beta may be lost. Purchases in a TestFlight build use Apple's test environment and are not charged. Please export anything you want to keep, and tell us what goes wrong at support@quaal.co or through TestFlight.

Not financial advice

Budgie helps you record and see your own spending. It does not give financial, tax or investment advice, and figures such as exchange rates and AI readings are provided as-is.

Your data

How Budgie handles your data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
